A LIFE CALLED TO HORSES
Gemma always knew she was meant to help horses and humans find their harmony with one another; to move together as one. Her goal, her purpose, is to educate people so that this harmony may touch as many horses as possible and make a world where they are heard; not used as tools or have things done to them, but instead, with them. Together in partnership.
I have witnessed her achieve this and help others do the same. I have watched her take a fearful horse and give it the confidence needed to face the world safely with it’s rider. I have watched her take a stubborn, dominant horse and mold him into a willing partner ready to learn and follow suggestions. What she creates between horse and human is effortless communication and powerful lifetime bonds where the sky is the limit.Raised in the San Juan Islands amongst horses, Gemma learned early that these animals speak through spacial awareness, subtlety and energy. Over the years, her practice has evolved to incorporate trauma-informed principles, empathy, and the summation of sensation to help horses and humans heal together. She travels across Island county, Skagit and King County to meet clients where they are mentally, emotionally and geographically.
We do it for the horse. To spread the growing modern knowledge of equine communication and to touch as many horses as we can to make the world a better place for them. It’s all about the horse.
Gemma’s philosophy is simple: learning with horses should be both effective and fun.
